The alignment brake temporarily restricts free rotation of the tool holder during setup, allowing the broach profile to be accurately indexed relative to keyways, cross holes, flats, slots, or other critical part features. This accessory simplifies setup, improves repeatability, and ensures consistent form orientation from part to part.
