Polygon Solutions Hexagon Plug Gage Sets

Gage Certification Options

1. Certificate of Compliance (CoC)

A Certificate of Compliance (CoC) confirms that your gages were manufactured and inspected in accordance with the applicable industry specifications. It certifies that qualified inspection personnel have verified the gages meet the required dimensional and tolerance requirements before shipment.

The certificate also confirms that the calibration standards used during inspection are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through nationally recognized measurement standards. Polygon Solutions maintains calibration practices that comply with recognized quality system requirements and industry standards.

A Certificate of Compliance is intended solely as documentation that the product meets the applicable manufacturing specification. It is not a calibration report and does not provide measured inspection data.

A Certificate of Compliance does not include:

  • Actual measured dimensions or tolerances
  • Individual inspection results
  • Customer-specific information
  • Nominal gage size or prescribed dimensions
  • Calibration data or measurement values

A Certificate of Compliance is provided at no additional cost with qualifying gage orders.

2. Manufacturer’s Long Form Calibration (LFC)

For customers requiring documented measurement results, Polygon Solutions offers a Manufacturer’s Long Form Calibration report.

This report provides the critical dimensions measured during final inspection along with the applicable tolerances for the gage standard. Every gage is inspected by trained technicians using calibrated equipment to verify compliance before shipment.

Depending on the gage type, the report may include measurements such as:

  • Pitch diameter
  • Major diameter
  • Minor diameter
  • Lead accuracy
  • Thread angle
  • Across-flats dimensions
  • Form geometry
  • Additional critical dimensions required by the applicable specification

Plain gages typically include measurements taken at multiple locations to verify dimensional consistency.

Unless specifically requested, new gages are supplied without calibration labels, calibration intervals, or serialized identification numbers. Serial numbers can be assigned upon request at the time of order.

Please Note:

  • Long Form Calibration is available for an additional charge.
  • Additional processing time may be required.
  • This certification must be ordered before the gages are shipped.

3. ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited NIST Traceable Calibration

Customers requiring accredited calibration can select an ISO/IEC 17025 calibration service.

Under this option, gages are calibrated by an independent ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory operating within its approved scope of accreditation. The resulting calibration certificate documents the measured values for all applicable critical dimensions and provides traceability through an internationally recognized quality management system.

An accredited calibration is typically required by manufacturers operating under regulated quality systems or customer-specific compliance requirements.

Please Note:

  • ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration is available at an additional cost.
  • Additional lead time is required for third-party laboratory processing.
  • This service must be requested before the gages are shipped.
